Do I need to be a member to come and play/learn at the Acol?
NO. Whether it is for lessons, supervised, gentle/social or duplicate you do not need to be a member. Non-members pay extra, of course and do remember that annual membership is only £30 – the best deal in town.
Do I need a partner?
NO. For duplicate just arrive 15 minutes early and speak to whomsoever is in charge. They will find you a partner.
For lessons or supervised play, don’t worry at all, suitable partners will be provided.
Do I have to play the Acol bidding system?
NO. If you are coming with a partner any recognised system base is permitted. If you are coming without, a basic knowledge of Acol is desirable.
Can I park close to the club/ how do I get to you?

YES. A sunny disposition. All course notes etc are provided at the end of class.
Do I need to book lessons/courses in advance?
YES PLEASE. Turning up on spec is allowed but makes it very hard for our teachers to prepare properly and may result in disappointment.

On Sunday/Wednesday and Friday there is a designated lunch break. During the first two an absolutely fabulous buffet is available.
During the Saturday afternoon session we provide a FREE tea – nibbles, sandwiches, cakes etc
On Monday evening there is a FREE buffet for members at 7pm before the game starts.
How do I set up my Pianola account?
If you have not received an email from the club regarding the creation of a Pianola account, it will be because the club does not have your email address. Speak to any member of staff and give them the address you would like to use and your account will be set up ASAP.
Any other problems with your Pianola account, speak to Alex!
