Acol Bridge Club

World famous for introducing the Acol bidding system, we remain one of London's friendliest clubs. Whether you are new to bridge or an expert you are very welcome at the Acol.

We offer beginners' classes, supervised sessions for less experienced players and competitive bridge for those looking for something more challenging!

The Acol is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.

Congratulations to Frances Liew and Belinda Bridgen who came second in the Lady Milne trials at the weekend. A fantastic achievement! They will now represent England in the 2012 Lady Milne Trophy, which will be held in Wales on 13th – 15th April.

Congratulations to our player of the week Yasha Heffes, who amassed 36 Overall Ladder Points this week.

Our New Year Teaching Programme begins in January. We are delighted to include our new Basic Card Play course, which focuses on the most important areas of declarer play and defence. Another newcomer is Andrew's Six of the Best, which will introduce you to many conventions useful in Duplicate. We are also running our ever-popular "Refresher/Next Step in a Weekend", Beginners (including "Learn Bridge in a Weekend"), Next Step, Improvers and Advanced courses.

Please note that all courses must be booked in advance.

All the course lessons consist of a mixture of teaching and carefully prepared practice hands and are designed by British International and World Life Master, Andrew McIntosh. We are also pleased to name Alex Crystol as our Improver of the Year. Alex attended our Learn Bridge in a Weekend in March 2011 and has made phenomenal progress since then, winning several duplicate sessions at the club.
